Toast Event Management is a mother and daughter team, Kathy and Tracey, with many years' experience in event planning, co-ordinating and management. Tracey, born and raised in South Africa, married a Kiwi from Te Puke in 1995. Together with their two children they settled in Tauranga in 1998 and Kathy and her husband followed in 2001. Kathy created and managed events of all kinds with success in South Africa both as a businesswoman and as a fund raiser for various charities. A successful businesswoman all her life, Kathy also served on the Knysna Town Council for 12 years serving as Chairman of Finance for five years, Council's representative on the Tourism Association for 5 years, as Deputy Mayor for two years and as Mayor for two years. In 2008, Kathy created and managed the successful Tauranga National Art Awards and established a foundation for bigger and better Art Awards in the future. At the tender age of 17, Tracey began helping Kathy create, plan and co-ordinate events. She soon developed a passion for all things entertainment! Tracey's background and qualifications in Marketing and Sales is a perfect addition for corporations looking to promote their company by way of an event. Her creative ideas and design skills, together with an obsession with perfectionism and systems management, has resulted in her events being the 'toast of the town'. She has run a very successful catering business which specialised in high end formal dinner parties and social events, which she themed and decorated.
