Kathy’s husband, Michael, is an award winning New Zealand artist.  Together they have participated in many art events which gave Kathy the ideas and inspiration to create art events with a difference. 

Kathy organised the 2008 Tauranga National Art Awards.  This successful event raised a large sum of money for charity and set the stage for future bigger and better awards events.
