Spring Newsletter

Who says nothing happens in winter?  We have been “winter busy” with some great events in the past few months.

The opening of the North Island Mussel Processing Factory

The Prime Minister was the guest of honour at one of our events yet again last month with the opening of the North Island Mussel Processing factory in Tauranga.  The Prime Minister admitted to us that he loved seafood and that oysters and mussels were on the top of his list.  Here Henry serves John Key with amazing mussels done with tomato basil pesto.

As usual, James at Cuisine Concepts did us proud with four different flavours of mussels and other assorted canapés that were swiftly devoured by the guests. Ryan and Oliver at Audio Solutionz once again gave us the best sound and television with not a thing going wrongTheir lighting was superb and created a lovely atmposphere in the Company's corporate colours.  The plants, hired from Naturally Native, gave the entire venue the New Zealand identity it deserved.  Photogrpahy was again expertly done by Gary at Smileclick.

We had to wait until the end to taste the mussels and, once we were done, there were no leftovers!

Happy Birthday Claude Stratford - Founder of Comvita

Claude Stratford, the founder of Comvita had his 100th birthday on 18 August.  The event was celebrated with style at the Comvita visitor centre on Friday, 20 August.  250 guests joined Claude to wish him everything of the best.  What a celebration it was!  Again, Naturally Native did us proud with the most amazing plants.  James from Cuisine Concepts served exceptional canapés including Manuka smoked salmon blinis in keeping with the Manuka theme in the décor.  We were given permission by the Tauranga City Council to pick some Manuka, which was originally gifted to Tauranga City by Comvita, to decorate the poles in the tent and to create the four beautiful flower arrangements done by Deb at Simply Sorted.  Vanessa from Stretch Tents did her usual amazing space extension.  The lighting and sound from Ryan and Oliver at Audio Solutionz together with our décor completed the scene.  Gary from Smileclick did his usual magic and even the exquisite cake created by Pam of Iced Design smelt like honey!
